Gulf Power starting 1/12022 no longer be Gulf Power it will be Under FP&L when a bill statement comes out. I don't see no sites or TGs besides a few. Not sure when the old UHF System will go down.

Fire on the WPB FPL tower today at the Tank Farm. Top half is down. WPB is off the air.

I was wondering if I could get some guidance from the pros. Ever since the event above happened, I haven't received a peep out of the WPB TGs. I switched to the Loxahatchee tower, I get signal there, but I don't get any of the trouble traffic that I received in the past. I'm at Jog and Forest Hill with an SDS-100 and Remtronix 800B. Always had plenty of traffic prior to the WPB tower incident. I enjoy listening to it, my uncle was a FPL lineman servicing the 500KV lines (aka Barehand Crew) and we were very close. Any insight is appreciated.

Good morning!

I'm reaching out on this thread after doing a search on some of the details below. I searched on WACN 92463 and was brought here. I think I may have stumbled upon a previously unidentified FPL site but am simply too far away to provide much more.

For the past couple of weeks, I've been hearing some squelch breaks (but no voice) on an ALEA (Alabama Law Enforcement Agency) portable frequency on an SDS200 with all the screen details turned on. I'm also receiving the same squelch breaks on a BCD436HP, but without all the screen details below. I wonder if anyone can add to what is being displayed.

Frequency: 854.6875
P25 NAC: 0E1H
Sys ID: Ah
RFSS ID: 225
Site ID: 225
WACN: 92463h

This appears to have some similarities with the FPL system and perhaps there are some folks on the Florida side who might be able to find out more.

Regards,

Shep

Can we confirm that FPL freqs from the RRD are valid and active? Is there regular chatter on the TGs?

There is chatter. When I lived in bay county they were setting up the 800mhz before I moved central fl. I heard some chatter last week when in St Augustine

That's awesome! Would love to hear the chatter after a hurricane. Thanks!

Depends where you are at you may hear different areas. When I was by jax didn’t hear every tg just what ever tg was for that area(s). When I was in bay county I only heard NW side from pcola to bay county nothing east of that.

I have been unable to hear anything from FPL in the Daytona Beach area in the past week or so. I know they aren't that chatty but with all the Lightning storms and power outages lately I thought I would hear something. I have both SDS 200/100 and I have dedicated the SDS100 to just FPL. I also tried from using the zip code feature with no luck hearing anything. I updated the data base and reloaded the systems from Sentinel and checked all my settings and still nothing. My Volusia County systems all work fine. I have Daytona, Deland, Osteen, Debary, Bunnell, Edgewater Sites loaded for the FPL system and locked out various ones to check each one. Thanks for any input from anyone else thats able to hear them or not in my area.

I can confirm that the Ensley site 201 is operational.

The Molino site (213) seems to be online but Unitrunker shows a frequency discrepancy when compared to the FCC license. Unitrunker shows 858.2375 as a possible control channel, and 857.1375 is not listed. 858.2375 is a Gulf Breeze site frequency, not Molino. Could that be a programming error on the system perhaps, or am I just missing an important detail?
