Another agency sold a bill of goods by the Motorola salesman. Pitiful part is, they have only ONE deputy on duty on any given night. Wouldn't a county cell phone have made more financial sense?

I will miss hearing them but they will still have the old system and AWIN so I might catch a little here and there. Charleston (my town) will still have some non-scrambled traffic on their new freq so it still might be entertaining.

Guess we will no longer know when FC-6 gets out of his car to take a whiz....

Yeah, that requires encryption.

Yes that is a TRBO designation, so no more hearing old lady Simplemind's cat in a tree... Oh well, as long as they run AWIN you will hear that, or if they interop with local PD on iether old analog freqs..... or the PD freqs... Also remember with TRBO TDMA they have 2 slots per a freq..... So if they wanted, they could use the one freq for both SO, and ALL county LEA's..... For example see Pike County in Mississippi....
