• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Gary,

I don’t know what scanner you are planning to take with you but Frederick Co is mostly quiet in general….You have surrounding counties such as MontgomeryCo and LoudounCo(VA) are always busy. If you are bringing your Pro96 with you I will be glad to email you my Pro96 file which covers the whole WashDC area.

I probably should have mentioned the scanner. It's a BCD396T. I think I have both Montgomery and Loudon files for the 296 that I should be able to copy and paste into ARC396.

Thanks for the information.
