newbie, if you ever find a way to get the boundary long and lat from local.live.com aerial shots, let me know.

Actually I used Shipplotter (www.shipplotter.com) Zoom down in the world map to your area and click the sat button on the tool bar (2nd one in). It downloads a sat image and the lat / lon in a config file with the same name as the map jpg.

Okay, so I put the map in the program, enterd my co-ordinates but now I'm really starting to have problems. I haven't hooked the scanner up yet because I want to make sure everythings working okay. Well, its not. I entered the co-ordinates for my server location that I got from Google Earth and it put me in Bowling Green, VA not Midlothian, VA. After playing with it, I still cant get it to work. On the map, none of the airports are showing up. I rescanned and rescanned the database. Nothing. I also need to know how to create the groundstation file and what format the text should be in. Is there any site that has detailed instructions on how to use this program? I'm running out of resources!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Nick

Try putting Latitude with Negative Value.. Like this for example: -110.6

This is great!

Just got it working. Recorded a flight from IAD, noticed the picture to the right, then looked out the window to see that plane passing through 5,000ft or so. :)

It's nice being just 10 miles from an international airport and right in the middle of a departure route.

Is there a list of Flight ID prefixes and the corresponding airlines?

UA, AA, NW are no-brainers and I've been able to get some info from FlightArrivals.com
Others like NK, XE and TZ, I haven't been able to figure out. Looking up the tail number doesn't always help because it shows banks as the owners.

Nevermind, I figured it out. :)

Sad thing is that if you don't report them it only encourages them even more. I just let my router, Wallwatcher and MyNetWatchman handle all the reporting for me. The bounds of my laziness are endless!!!

Luis C,
I put all the values that need to be in negative values in negative values, its still putting me in Bowling Green. I consulted the yahoo group, but I didnt get much help at all. The only thing left I have to figure out is why the airports aren't showing on the map.
