I programmed my 996P2 last night using the FreeScan software, and uploaded my files. And had no trouble everything worked great. I discovered an error in one of my systems after correcting the error, and I done another upload I also done an erasure of all the memory. Now, everything is ok however, every few minutes, I hear the CCO, where I didn’t hear it after the first upload. Any ideas would be appreciated.

One of the causes of what you are seeing is a missing custom table. Why it's happening now is unknown. If this is the system...

This is a rebanded system, and the first frequency ends in zero, so you must have the custom table. FreeScan should have downloaded this for you and installed it when you uploaded. If not, it's not all that hard to enter it (just a few knob twists). It's explained here...

Thanks Mike I’ll give it a read through. I believe it may have programmed the CC’s but I’m going to bring up my file to see. It is interesting it has been several hours since I heard the last transmission from the control channel don’t you just love things that make you wonder why things do what they do it’s called Murphy’s Law and computers. Incidentally commendations to all that participated in the FreeScan article a great users guide

If you used the web import function through FreeSCAN, it should have downloaded the custom tables that you need as well as well. (I see that you are a Premium Subscriber.)

Make sure that the 'site type' selection did not get flipped back to Motorola 800MHz Standard (Type II)

Thanks to all, the table was installed, however, the encoding was off. Got it turned on and I done another upload. Haven’t had any trouble since then.

There are discrepancies in the database. Where the description says analog, the mode is D.
