Howdy!

I am new to this forum and scanners in general. I received a brand new BC346XT for Christmas and have successfully used the FreeScan software to download data files from Radio Reference into the FreeScan client. However, when I view the data in FreeScan I see digital (options are all, analog and digital) listed in the AudioType section for about 98% of the entities I want to monitor.

Since my scanner is analog does this mean that I can only listen to the 2% analog communications or is there something I can do to "fix" this issue? I pray that I do not have to purchase a digital scanner :(

Thanks!

Yes, anything listed as digital, you will need a digital scanner. You may be able to find the store the scanner was purchased from, tell them the dillemma, and pay the difference(about $150). Hope that helped....
