I noticed the following when I read from my scanner. It seems a few things were not transferred from the scanner to the PC.

They include the following:

Lost 'P25 wait time' setting from "P25S" and "EDC" systems, went from 400 to 0
Lost i-call setting from "MOT1" "MOT2" and "EDC" systems, went from checked to unchecked
Lost 'Emergency alert type' setting from "P25S" systems, went from 7 to 0

Don't know if it's supposed to be this way or a bug.

P25 systems and EDACS do not have a wait time. This is because P25 is all digital, and EDACS is all analog, so there is no need for P25 wait time. Assuming you are using an XT scanner, it doesn't support turning i-call on or off like that, so there is nothing to download back. Same deal with emergency alert, the scanner doesn't support this on P25 systems.

Thanks for the response. That clears it all up with the exception of EDACS i-call.

I have the 996xt and one system I monitor is EDACS and they use the i-call function quite frequently. How can I make sure I don't miss anything?

I believe you need to program in a special wildcard TGID, i0, to enable i-calls on xt scanners.

Ok thanks. Great program by the way. Always reccommend it to others!

I have a BC246T which supports Emergency Alert and I-Call and until the latest version I had no problem transferring those settings. But now after its done programming I have to go back in and manually set those features.

I have a printing issue. When I used past versions of Freescan (great program) I was able to print a list for traveling with the names in alphabetical order and I have the quick key number in the name. Now in 9.O when I go to print quick keys it will only print in quick key order. I have the file saved by names not number. Anyone have an answer how to do that?

CPUerror keep up the great work.

Hi gcr33, the print order is set by the view order of the main tree. You can change the print order by selecting View * Sort By in the main window..

I have the view selected to NAME. I have it saved that way. It displays with the names in alphabetical order. It however prints out in QUICK KEY order no matter what. In print preview it shows in quick key order. Perhaps I am missing something. I believe this happened in one of the previous early versions and was updated.

As an add on the print detailed summary is in alphabetical order but it is not a quick cheat sheet.

In name it makes it easier when I am driving to get the quick key.

I have never tried to use the GPS feature and doubt that I will.

BTW is the 99 quick key limit a hard fixed item? I am at 23% capacity but I could add more if I have additional quick keys.

Keep up the excellent work Assaf on an excellent program. Thanks.

Oh yeah the QK cheat sheet is locked into sorting by QK. I always thought it would make for a mess if it was sorted any other way. The summary and normal print outs are in whatever order the main tree is set for. If you really want it sorted by name, you can print to HTML, then import it into Excel and doing the sort in it.

The QK limit is by scanner design so there is not much I can do about that.

Sorry to be so long in getting back. Yes, you can do it that way but it sure is a pain.

It seems like I am rearranging and changing quite a bit.

I thought there was a version a few back that I did that on with alphabetical listing.

Printing the detail list is a lot of paper but the alphabetical listing is a one page thing.

I guess it is up to UPMAN and his crew to get some more quick keys in a firmware update.

i wish we did not have to go thru that just to print alphabetically
also when i go to print my one page list sometimes i dont want all systems so I uncheck them and lock them out but they print anyway , why have check boxes to select when you cant unselect

Those checkboxes are there so if you don't want to print all the details of a system you can unselect it. The summary outputs still include all the systems.
