I ran into a situation where I needed to view the display of my 996HP from across the house. The virtual displays provided by ProScan and FreeScan were too small to read. Then I stumbled across Magnifier in Windows. Shockingly enough, Magnifier actually does a great job magnifying. The attached pic is the virtual display of FreeScan when running Magnifier over it. If you're in a similar situation it's worth checking out.
