Hi all,
Wondering if there is a way to globally lockout TGID's in Freescan with a BCD996XT? Do I use Set Scanner Options > Frequencies > Global Frequency Lockouts? If so, the warning I get when trying to enter TGID 513 is "The Frequency 513 is out of band. You have been warned"

I am trying to achieve the 91 TGID's I have in this system that are fully encrypted, that are in the System in a Group under "Encrypted" to be freed up as I have too many TGID's in there including uID's.

Dumb questions - so why keep them if they are encrypted, and you likely won't hear anything on them anyway (unless someone forgets to flip the switch)? I would delete them and free up the memory space for something else.

And why are you trying to lockout talkgroups with a frequency lockout function?

If you really want to keep them just in a locked out state, there's a 'locked out' box right next to the 'Find Free' button on the group screen

best regards..Mike

I had them loaded in my UBCD396T in a group, all locked out, so that I could use ID SEARCH mode on the relevant system rather than ID SCAN. There are still some unknown TGID's that havent been tracked, therefore using ID SEARCH mode is the best method to scan this system.

The Uniden software for the 396 had GLOBAL TGID LOCKOUT in the scanner options, however I cannot find it in freescan.
