Using FreeSCAN, click on NEW SYS. Make the System Type P25 Standard (Digital XT) and name it. Click on Create System. Click on (GRP) TGID Group 1. You can name the group and give it a quick key. Click on the green plus icon to add a talkgroup. The alpha tag goes into the Display column and the DEC number goes into the TGID column. Click on (P25S) Site 1. Give it a name and a system quick key. Make Site Type P25 Standard (Digital XT). Click on Trunk Frequencies to add frequencies for the site. You can click on NEW SITE and NEW GRP to add sites and groups as needed.
Thank YOU finally someone that answered my question!!!

The System Type and Site Type need to be P25 Standard (Digital XT). You have One Freq Trunk (Digital XT). In FreeSCAN, the ID Mode defaults to ID Search. You will hear everything on the system. If you change it to ID Scan, you will hear only the talkgroups programmed.

Thank you will fix it. The system is fire only and it has 2 other frequencies but they are simulcast

All of my receivers were tunable before the newfangled crystals.
In 1964, I found I could listen to Philadelphia Police on my FM radio. Somewhere around 100MHz (MC back then) and I am sure was a harmonic of their low band radio system, the cars had 3 or 4 foot antennas on them back then.

That's what interested me in police "scanning" back then, and through that, becoming a police officer in 1971 in Denver. Great job for 26 years!
