BC346XT: FreeSCAN not controlling scanner thru virtual scanner control

I have tried to do the FreeSCAN "Control Scanner" thru the serial port and it doesnt work.. as in doesn't display systems, or what its scanning on the PC. I can hit buttons on the PC and the scanner does the commands but the PC doesn't reflect those commands on the PC side. Anything I'm doing wrong?

Either scanner type or baudrate might be incorrectly set.

It's a BC346XTC, and I've tried 9200 and 11520.. not sure what best Baud rate to use is.. does it only work for P25 radios?

goto control scanner, shift F1, and set the comport via the auto command. That set the baud rate and the comport.
