FreeScan RR Import CC Only mode

When I import from RR and check "Enable control-channel only mode by default" why do I get all the site frequencies and not just those labeled as Primary or Alternate CCs? Is this a limitation of the RR web service or FreeScan? Either way it would be great if it could be fixed. Thanks,

Assaf is aware of this but I'm not sure where it is at on his priority list.

Probably because the web service does not distinguish between a CC and a non-CC. It just grabs frequencies. I don't know if the service has this capability, but it's not used. That's a Lindsay query.

Anyway it's easy to go through it and drop the non-CCs - a pain, but it's doable 73 Mike

Actually the web service DOES distinguish between the CCs and non CCs. There's a usage field there that has that information.

Cool - then a note to Assaf should make this a possibility. Does this exist in the new SOAP based imports (which is what FreeScan uses) or in the old version, which by the way will be disabled in July? 73 Mike

This option just sets the default on all your imported sites to control channel only mode, but all frequencies get imported. The next version is going to have the option to only import control channels. Hope that clears everything up.

Take a look at a system like the MA State Police and you'll see why it's a high priority feature. No need to have hundreds of frequencies stored when a couple dozen does the job.

It exists in both the old and new SOAP versions of the web service.

Just depends on how much time I have, there are a few other things that have to get done. Probably sometime around Easter.
