Why can’t I download freescan Or sentinel on my iPad?
Sentinel and Freescan are Windows apps.

What type of scanner do you have? The scanners supported by Sentinel are not supported by Freescan and the scanners supported by Freescan are not supported by Sentinel.

They do not work on Android tablets either. There are Windows tablets available, but the tablet form displays and Windows generally don't work well together. The Microsoft Surface is probably the best choice for a small Windows device,

Welcome to the forums, OP!
Also, scanners require a standard USB-A cable to interface with its programming computer. An ipad does not have a standard USB-A port so you'd need a lightning to USB mini cable adapter (and potentially a third party driver yet to be develped to support said cable) just to interface ipad with the scanner, more trouble than it would be worth, particularly since Apple proprietizes EVERYTHING!

Yes, this is my goto tablet if I need to update a radio "on the fly"

Just a note.. The later iPad accessory/charging sockets went from Lighting to USB.. My iPad Pro 11 has a USB-C port.
