Freescan trouble

Using Win 7 Home Premium and Freescan will not connect, locks up my PC and Windows will not autofix.

I can access RadioReference no trouble using my GRE software.

Is there another software that I can use on my Uniden Scanner with my membership here?

Any ideas why Freescan is locking me up? I downloaded straight from Freescan and have 216 version.

Often this is due to a firewall issue - check that and your antivirus (some of which have their own built in firewall).

FreeScan is the only freeware out there right now. BCTool is around, but as I understand it, the developer has basically abandoned it. It would help to know what scanner you have - BuTel has their own, but many prefer ProScan (both commercial, but have a month long trial period)

I have Win 7 Home Premium and have used FreeScan on it for 3 years without any problems.

You may want to delete the FreeScan program and re-download it.
