I'm using Virtual Control in Freescan for my BCT-15X on a Windows 7 desktop.

I would like to record traffic on a just a certain frequency. I have four conventional systems programmed and only one System recording setting set to "Marked" and the particular frequency "Rec Out" box checked. The other three Systems recording settings are set to off.

My issue is - if I enable recording in Virtual Control all transmissions are recorded, regardless of the System recording options settings.

Am I missing a setting somewhere to enable the "record only marked" using Virtual Control?

Thanks.

Hi Dave, have you tried turning off the record in the virtual control ?

When you start Virtual control --> Options --> Setup Recording --> Uncheck Enable Recoding

See if that helps at all, I think it then should just record the channels that are enabled for recording
Hope it works

Hi Doug

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately when I uncheck Enable Recording, nothing records at all. Not sure what's going on - maybe that's the way is supposed to work.

Have you tried ID Tracker III? It was designed with recording in mind. It does not program the scanner but it is very flexible for recording.

+5!

Great program. I use it all the time for UID logging AND recording selected systems with time stamp and UID information on the recorded file. There's plenty to tinker around with in the settings for each system too.

Also great for virtual scanner control and you can re-size the scanner window (or any window) so you can see it from across the room.

I highly recommend it. I'm at 1.7.6 but newer release is out there.

Thanks Dave!
