So, I know UHF, 800 MHz have standard frequency pairs... has anyone ever ran across a VHF system that is set up this way? Example: 155.0125 +5 MHz 160.0125? or +3 158 MHz? Thanks.
In the US the only standard VHF pairs are the 152.27 - 152.4575 band which has a +5.26 MHz offset. These used to be only for taxis. Now any business can license them but the offset remains for some reason. Electronic Code of Federal Regulations:
