I am trying to set a freq range search on my Pro-97 (144 - 155), and following the directions in the manual, cant get it to set correctly. Following the steps carefull from page 22
( Radio Shack PRO-2053 Desktop Trunk-Tracking Scanner Owner's Manual )

When I get to the final entry step (step 6), & hitting enter, then check the squelch, nothing. It is almost as if that last ENTER key stroke didn't take.

Any help out there? I am hoping to bring it to the Thunderbirds airshow today, and am running out of time!

I see several problems:
1) 144-155 is not the air band.
2) 225-400 is used by some planes in airshows - the PRO-97 can't do that range.
3) Why are you using the PRO-2053 manual to program the PRO-97?
4) In the PRO-97 manual, you can program Search Bank SR6. That's on page 43.
5) If you do #4, above, the final step is SEARCH.

Thanks for your response. Re:
1) yesterdays participants report that is the active freq's for this show
3) advice rec'd earlier stated those manuals are cross-overs, and the instructions apply between them.
4) I'll give it a try.

I think (from memory) all you have to do is push PGM, SRCH then enter the low frequency, push down and enter the high frequency, push ENT to confirm and push SRCH again to get back to search bank 6 (SR6 in the upper left corner)
I think
