Freqs., channels, single freq. monitoring...?

Hey,
I just received my first scanner, a Pro-43. Im trying to program it now.

My question is how many freqs. are on one channel?

and how can I just tune in just one frequency to listen to?
(i.e. if I just wanted to listen to 118.350)

Well, only one frequency is on one channel (assuming we are talking about conventional frequency usage and not TV.)

If you want to listen to 118.350, then just program 118.350 in one of the frequency slots (channel) and then set the scanner to AM mode for that channel (if necessary, should default to AM based on freq.) then adjust the squelch so that when no one is talking that background hiss is gone. This is also assuming you don't have some moron piliot in the area with a stuck mike. :lol:
