I'm looking for ham repeaters for the area's of cadiz, ky and dwason springs / Madisonville. Anything along that line would be good for pd/ fd etc if anyone could help me out. Making a trip that way and need a sold list of stuff.
theres not alot of ham rept.s in the area here I live here in dawson springs and we no longer have one. the cadiz rept.s are gone to. madisonville has a really good 440 rept. What I am unfimilar with is the breakdowns for the state systems as far as posts go in reference to the county's. Such as what P25 law talk/ law dispatch covers trigg county.
The Illinois system is different from the KSP System.... KSP is multicast. The transmitters are placed in such a way that a Trooper can key the mic and hit one regardless of location within the Post area.... If you program the towers close to you will be then you should hear what is happening....In my efforrt to understand ksp layout I'm stuck with more questions,
Here it is, why I know their post assignments what transmitter are they on? Here in IL all counties per the district are assigned one talkgroup period.
Here are the counties that I could not find a speciffic frequency for, my assumption is that they covered by one of the other counties based on simple logic. But, the question is what area county transmitter (repeater p25 system are they utilize for the counties listed below.) It rather werid as far as setup to utilize five different channels per district (post) but whatever works.
KSP 01
TRIGG
MARSHALL
KSP 02
CALDWELL
MUHLENBERG
In theory, yes..... . . So, basically your saying that if the trooper talks on say channel b-4 it broadcasted on all b-channels. . . .
