I was wondering if anyone out here has any frequencies not listed in the RR Database, like some hidden frequencies, side bands, etc..for NW Indiana?

If they were hidden - how would anyone know ;> If they are purposely not being released on the database side, they wouldn't be posted non-anonymously here.

What kind of things are you looking for?

Sorry it took so long to reply, I thought the thread was dead.

I am always looking to find those hidden/un-listed freq's. (Just like everyone else)

I have 1or2 frequencies, not listed in the FCC data base or here in the RRDatabase, and there is usually some pretty good action going on. And I was wondering if anybody else had some to share? But after thinking about it some, it might not be a good idea listing them. I would hate to have to go searching again because they think they have been compromised and change freq's. or go to a system I or anybody else can receive.

Hmmm...Isnt that sort of like dangling carrots Rocketman1? What I mean is, if the agencies transmitting on these "secret" frequencies you say you have are that worried about people listening, dont you think they would move to encrytion of some sort? I seriously doubt you need to worry about these agencies scrambling to find a different method of communication because their cover has been blown since most scanners come standard with a search mode. Since you mentioned freq's and not talkgroups, it doesnt even sound as though they are on a very advanced system at all, thus leading one to beleive that they must not be all that worried about people hearing what they say.

I guess what I'm trying to say is why even mention the "hidden" freq's you have if you're not willing to share them? The RR database of freq's and talkgroups were compiled form those in this community that did.

It doesn't seem that way, too worried about being heard that is, unless they think these drug dealers aren't smart enough to operate a scanner.

What I was more worried about than "losing" a good frequency, although my post may have come off that way, was the safety of the officers involved. They are tracking dug dealers, making buy's, making bust's, etc...They plainly say stuff like "the C.I. is walking up to the door now, the suspect answered and is handing him the package, stand by, etc....."
I would really hate to see this C.I. get his face shot off by a 12 gauge because they knew he was a "Narc" because some "smart" (if there is such a thing) drug dealer knows how to work a scanner and found this frequency here after I posted it.

I think I may have inadvertently mentioned it in one of my previous posts. Let me give this a bit more thought. I'll submit it the RRDatabase if I decide the risk to the people involved is negligible.
