Was wondering how to use the frequency counter on the bcd396xt? I was able to find a review of the bcd396t where they mention when powering on press "hold" , "3" and "0". I did this and the display shows "800MHz+ Band" and it's flickering around 865 Mhz give or take. How do you adjust the band you want it to look in? I did do a search on this forum but couldn't find anything.

No....I have played with the bandscope function. Since I've posted this, I have found out what's going on. Just press "hold" "3" and "0" while powering on the scanner and it functions like a frequency counter. You , depending on which close call bands you have turned on, can rotate the selection knob on top of the scanner through the bands you want to search/count. I tried it next to a baby monitor and the frequency displayed for me. Really cool. Anxious to try it out maybe through a drive thru. I would just like to know is the senstivity the same as if you just had the scanner in close call mode? Upman? Anyone?
