My old Elenco F2800 frequency counter has problems. I has been many thousand miles since the 80's as a service tool.
I am thinking about replacing it with something new. Maybe with Tone and DCS decoding as a bonus.

Any Ideas?

Just out of curiosity, anyone know what they mean by the following spec on that page? Something along the lines of "Maybe sometimes it will work in the range of 27-100, but don't count on it"?

Frequency Range: 27MHz-3000MHz*

*27MHz to 100MHz not guaranteed
I think you said it right. I wouldn't use it below 100 mHz.

Close Call on Uniden scanners will do that, plus display color code / NAC for digital transmissions.
