It appears that a new frequency was added to the Rocky Mountain National Park data base in the last 7 days: 166.76000 SAR Air to Ground. I tried to add that to my PSR800 using the GRE software, and was told "The frequency you entered is invalid for the currently selected country band plan" So, what am I missing here?

It's probably a typo. The federal VHF band is set in 12.5 KHz steps, so the frequency of 166.7600 would not be a valid channel. 166.7500 or 166.7625 would be likely candidates…

Likely a TYPO as the SAR is 155.1600

I assume you meant "Do Not use"

You maybe correct, however it is in their radios and is part of their channel plans. Whether they use it or not is something for years of monitoring.

The feds here so not use 155.160. Rangers in the park do all SAR.

Been monitoring for 44 years now in Colorado and was in SAR for several years in the 70s
