Just starting to play with UniTrunker 1.05. I have it running, it's decoding at 99% accuracy, and I can import info from RR. However, for the life of me I can't figure out how to get frequency lists to download, or to import from my old *sys.txt files from Trunker. I read a couple of threads here, but either UniTrunker crashes or I can see but not edit the offset table. This is for comventional 800 MHz systems and the Ontario Fleetnet VHF sites too, Is there a simple way to grab the site data for all of these systems, or is the a "CC" only mode I've missed?

Thanks!

how to get frequency lists to download,
Unitrunker downloads frequency information for LTR and EDACS. It does not do so for Motorola or P25. Channel data can be more accurately inferred directly from the control channel. The program will download bandplan information.

or how to import from my old *sys.txt files from Trunker.
There is a bug in the trunker import code where it loads the files from the start-up directory, not the directory you selected. A workaround is to copy the trunker files to the same folder as the program. Importing old-style Unitrunker files is not affected.

I read a couple of threads here, but either UniTrunker crashes or I can see but not edit the offset table.
In the bandplan tab, select the field you want to edit and press "F2" to enter edit mode. Make your changes. Use the "+" and "-" buttons on the toolbar to add or remove bandplan entries. Press the "Esc" key to leave edit mode.

Thank you! I'll try all of that later today. I did quickly add just one Mot. 800 system's files to the UT "root" and did an import yesterday. Unitrunker crashed. The RR import did however pick up the T/Gs etc. but even after 3 hours on that system no frequency information ever appeared. I did manually enter the operating CC frequency, but that made no difference. Something I didn't do perhaps?

EDIT: Disregard the frequency list problem - restarting UT fixed it.

Thanks again!

I have the same problem. Crashes sometimes, have to put the freq. in. Let it roll for 8 hrs and still only the cc freq shows. Did stop/run still same. Exit, start same. Put band plan in...still same. I will keep playing with it and see what happens. Love the program.

A few hints I figured out with help from the folks here along the way:

Enter the band plan (if necessary) by hitting F2. The "low" value is as shown on the RR database, the "high" is one value lower than the low value of the next group if there are multiple ranges.

Enter TWO frequencies yourself - the active and alternate control channel frequencies will do fine.

Delete all of the previously logged channels by highlighting them one by one and hitting " - ". They should be replaced by the proper frequencies as the program logs activity. I did see UT trying to tell me the voice frequencies were all the base frequency for the system in question a few times, but re-entering the band plan data and deleting the bad ones does indeed populate the system normally.

Still haven't played with the local EDACS system. I have all the LCNs and frequencies so I could enter them manually, but I want to see UT do it for me! I gave up trying to use data from the DOS Etrunker & MTrunker files for now.

I'm not sure where you're located. This experimentation was all on the Bell Fleetnet system here in Ontario in my case.
