how does one know what the Frequency Operating GHZ is when using a Police Scanner ? Does this
GHZ pertain to listing to Local Co & City Departments ?

Well 1 Ghz = 1,000 mhz. So no, you're not going to hear much which would make sense to the human ear. ;)

Now with some specialized receivers then maybe...

This info I found is part of the above posted question so please bare with me. I found this quote in the
Gem Electronics Manual. " In the CCTV market a 50 Ohm connector is perfectly compatible with the 75Ohm cable being used. This tiny area of mismatch will not cause any degradation to the signal.

HOWEVER, in the Audio/Video & Broadcast market it is highly recommended to use a 75 Ohm connector. In fact, if the system is operating at a frequency above 1.2.GHz it is absolutely mandatory."

NOW with all that said, does this pertain to Police Scanners ?
