I was searching milair and it seemed kiind of slow. I then started stepping through and I see each increment is .0125 so it goes 383.0125, 383.0250, 383.0375, etc. Aren't these small steps? Is there a setting somewhere?

Did you create the search object or are you simply hitting the srch button until you see "aircraft". In that there's 5 banks just use the 5th deactivate the others. That method according to the manual is in 25mhz steps.

There is also a setting called "FlexStep" in the advanced options menu however it appears to be unrelated to your issue.
On = 0.00125 steps in the military band, Off = 0.00625 steps in the military band.

I don’t think that affects searching. Or does it?

FlexStep appears to affect tune mode however not a limit search which is fixed at 0.0125 in the UHF military band.
The dedicated Aircraft search #3 does search in 0.025 steps through the UHF military frequencies.

Good to know!
