On your data bases some frequencies are listed with and agacent input (frequency?). I don't understand how the two relate and how they should be entered into the scanner.

I am new to this all and have recently purchased a Pro-95.

Thanks for your help.

When there is a input frequency listed, the frequencies are being used by a repeater system. I'm sure there is a wiki about this, but basically it works like this: the mobiles and handhelds transmit on the input frequency, which is repeated on the output frequency, along with the base (dispatch). This extends the range of the mobiles and handhelds, giving them the effective height and range of the repeater tower.

Program your scanner with the output frequency, and you should hear all the traffic on that system. If you also program the input frequency, then you'll hear any mobiles or HHs that happen to be nearby.

There is - in the FAQ. Getting people to look there for answers is another matter. :)
