I have a question. I am trying to add something that I want to program into my scanner. I know I normally I enter the Frequency and what not. But I saw this and am not sure what to do with the "Input". Since it is diffrent then the Frequency.
I’m trying to enter
Frequency Input License Type Tone Description Mode
154.10000 158.92500 WDM708 RM 179.9 PL Countywide Police Hotline
Now I entered the Freq and did put in the CTCCS as 173.9PL and did nothing with the input….. Is that right or???

The only reason you would want to program the input is if you wanted to listen to stations that are REALLY close to you. The input is used to transmit to the repeater, hence the name "Input". Yes, you always want to program the output, and if you want, the PL tone.
