Could somebody post the Fresno County frequencies/descriptions for police/sheriff/fire.
Some of the descriptions/uses on some of the websites are a little confusing.

Just wanted to bump this topic up to the top to see if anybody had an answer. I have the frequencies, but just wondering what the descriptions/uses are for each channel for Fresno County Sheriff.

What is the 154.445 CDF/County FD (District 1) channel used for? How is 154.445 different from the 151 Mhz CDF dispatch freqs?

My guess is that 154.445 is used to dispatch the Fresno County fire stations that are numbered from 60 to 99 - the call, volunteer, county fire stations. The 151 Mhz freqs are possibly used to dispatch just the CDF owned and operated stations (whichever ones those are).

Is it possible that in a combined CDF / County fire station that the left side of the station is dispatched on 154.445, and the right half is dispatched on 151.385 or 151.16?

Did you actually look at the database for Fresno S.O.? There aren't any description for what the channels cover except for CLEMARS and NALEMARS. So, except for the fact there aren't any descriptions, I guess they are fine.

I'm not familiar with Fresno SO, but I did see Channels 1 - 16 listed (minus a couple). Sometimes thats all you get. Therefore the description would be Fresno SO CH-1, CH-2 etc. What I read from the original post was an inquiry to post freqs/descriptions etc. That information is already posted here, that is what I was referring to.

Sorry Joey,

I meant what is each channel used for. The scancal.org site shows the channel numbering but also lists "Area's" I just don't know what each area is. I am travelling back from Vegas through California to Washington and just want to set up my ARC780 software to upload into my BC780 when I get to the Fresno County area.

Area 1 covers what part of the county, Area 2 covers what area, etc.

Thanks SAR2401, I looked there and I wasn't sure how updated the channel usage was, seeing as how it has not been updated since Dec. 2003.

If you're going to be spending time in the area, we could use the help updating some of the lesser filled in counties in the valley.

What other counties do you need info on, I will try to log anything I can into the laptop using the software and spreadsheets. My wife will be with me so bear that in mind..... I will try my best.

By the way should I just submit any info I get to the database or post to the forum.

Depending on where you go:

Calaveras County
Stanislaus County/Modesto
Tuolumne County
Madera County

No need to make it a radio trip, but if you happen to come across anything new, please let us know. If you need help ID'ing stuff, we might be able to help. Once again, Google is still your friend. http://www.fresnosheriff.org/ is the first web site that comes up in a search for "Fresno CA Sheriff" and they have an excellent explanation of what each area listed on ScanCal covers.

Fresno County Sheriff on occasion uses 460.0250 and refers to it as "Channel One"

In Fresno County, 460.0250 is used by 3 local Law Enforcements:

Fresno Police .... Channel 8
Fresno Sheriff ... Channel 1
Clovis Police ..... Channel 2
