Friday, my scanner picked up a transmission on the Old Mich

Friday, my scanner picked up a transmission on the old Michigan State Highway Frequency. It was a Truck from the MDOT Garage in Niles, He was asking all the other Trucks if they were traying to raise him on the new state Feq, all of them said it wasn't them, but they heard it too. This must mean that the Highway Trucks are Monitioring both systems!

I do know that MDOT will not give up their old 151 MHz system, until everyone has made the switch to the new MPSCS system. Once that is done, the old VHF-High band system will be deactivated. Apparently, MDOT finds it too costly to maintain two separate radio systems.
