Friendly reminder - pager freqs dont always go to pagers

After wasting hours searching 464--465 mhz, I came up with 2 entities. My local school bus, and a cement company on an ltr system..I spent a year chasing after their license.. Then, I realized they were pager freqs.. So, I put all pager freqs from lo band, and vhf in my uniden 15x and waited for anything... Next thing I know, my neighbor is signing off for the day on a freq.. I marked it, and waited... He, and his neighbor checked in on it the next morning... So, I listened to a few locals to see where that freq went.. It turned out to be an input for the sheriff. Confirmed... And after the latest - rain- event another freq came to life..... It sounded like forest rangers..
So, if anyone feels like killing an hour, put the pager freqs in, and wait.. It may pay off...
Side note, only 1 vhf freq has a pager signal to it..

i found the school system using old taxi freqs. so you really have to hunt.
