I had a problem receiving my local state police, Motorola 860 MHz conventional trunking system on my BCD536HP. I rectified the problem by turning on the
internal attenuator. I was able to identify the problem as most likely 2 very close cell towers. If I connected
the scanner to an inside antenna with out the attenuator on I received the state police fine. Once I turned
on the attenuator on and went back to an external antenna I had no problem.
Well I have the same problem on the SDS200. The only problem now is that even with the internal attenuator on I still can't receive the local state police. I tired
and inside antenna whip antenna and I had just minor luck receiving some transmissions. So again it looks like the SDS200 like the BCD536HP is susceptible to
close channel/adjacent channel interference.
