Win98 / TrunkStar780
Older laptop...only 500 MHZ but real mean, clean machine. Used solely for programming / operating my 780XLT.
Everything seems to be setup as it should. The radio's baud rate menu and my serial port rate both match, but REAL sluggish response from the app when it comes to displaying both freq & PL. Latest ver of TrunkStar & no other major apps running in the background. 128 Meg of RAM.
What's up with this? Any ideas?
Also I have a boatload of .swg files left over from the day when I had a Optocom (wish I had the Opto back). Since I have over 3000 frequencies in over 50 different files, what's generally the best way to import these...especially since I don't wanna key in all those TG's again. Yeah I know TrunkStar works with .swg files, but it's not real clean.
I've been doing this stuff for a LONG time, but frankly I'm stumped. Thinking about selling my 780 regardless...just a few years ago, I had a TON of radios. One-by-one they've left...not a real positive trend.
Thanks folks!
