I have a Diamond SRH77CA on my FT-60 and have always wondered about a solution to cover the gap between the antenna base and radio - since there is no cover skirt at the base of the Diamond - as in the Yaesu antenna.

I came across this video by KS6DAY on YouTube and he recommended a particular washer from a Harbor Freight 141 Piece Sealing Washer Assortment Set. The Set Item No. is 67552 and the particular washer dimensions are: 10.5 x 14 x 4mm.

The set is only $3.99 at my local Harbor Freight.

Not the most elegant solution but I am happy with it and now have 140 extra washers. :)

Many of the Diamond antennas, including the SRH77CA, ship with a rubber washer for this purpose. It's often overlooked inside the package.
I think I remember seeing that and cannot remember if I gave it a try and did not like it. I'll give it another look-see.

Thanks for the reminder @AK9R. (y)

I am all for extra washers myself, thanks for the Harbor Freight tip!

There's also a 3D printed option. You can order it from SignalStuff, or you can download the 3D plans and have it printed yourself:
