Hi Folks! My first Florida air show. Living in NYS I go to most of the shows in the Northeast, if possible. Just looking for AIR BOSS freqs (UHF/VHF). I think I have everything else covered. Thanks in advance!

These have been used in the past. The Friday before the show they run a practice. That's the best time to log stuff.

I recall in 90's this air show drew over million visitors over the 2 days period. The hotels on the strip were sold years in advance.
Sun, Beaches and spectacular show mixed with the fleet week. Blue Angels were the star of the show.

YUP! I live 6 miles in from the beach and unfortunately, this air show is unbearable during the weekend, with the traffic volume and traffic restrictions. Early Friday morning I will try and get to the north side and see the dress rehearsal. Make sure you have all the FLL and MIA enroute frequencies loaded as well.

I used these when the Blue Angles did the hospital Covid flyovers last summer. Heard everything.

I was at every air and sea show from 1995 through 2007. It drew over 4 million people at its peak. Even though I lived in Fort Lauderdale I would grab a hotel on the beach so I didn’t have to . I would get there on Thursday and leave on Monday. Still some of the best times I’ve ever had in my life. I used to have my scanners hooked into computer speakers.
I found this article online.

“MDM Group has made a commitment to hold the show for the next ten years and we hope that you will continue to produce the corporate hospitality village as well as the name entertainment. I can’t imagine doing anything without you and your wonderful staff.” — Mickey Markoff (President, MDM Group/McDonald’s Air & Sea Show) Over its 13 year run, the Ft. Lauderdale Air & Sea Show was the largest two-day spectator event in the world, hosting over 4.5 million people each year.
That article is from 18 years ago. Crazy how time flies.

tg 1873 "Special Events 1" is being used by Fort Lauderdale police on the Fort Lauderdale P25 trunked system for the air show detail.

tg 5297 FtL PD District 1 is the main patrol channel that covers the entire event area. That will probably get fun when the show is over for the day and billions of vehicles try to head west to get outta Dodge.

EMS usually sets up on Fire tac D, but I have not heard that activity so far.

I have not found any marine VHF channel dedicated to air show activity.
