Wondering if anyone has current RCMP frequencies for McMurray? Have they shifted to the 'Horseman' assignments with APCO25, or did they remain dormant on the old 155 chnls? Tnx in advance for any info.

What exactly are the "Horseman" assignments with APCO25? I have never heard that designation before. We get VHF/UHF APCO25 RCMP traffic down here, but not very frequently, and it is always encrypted as well as being digital.
Last time I was up in Ft. Mac a couple of years ago (I paddled the Clearwater from up in North Central Saskatchewan back to Ft. Mac), they were still on the 155.x VHF frequencies.
Back too many decades ago there was a system developed for the RCMP which was not unlike the Fleetcom pattern and Ottawa (Shirley Bay) nick named it the Horseman Project. Basically a Trunking system with Digit Voice (presumably P25 although can't confirm that assumption). I just retired from Ft McM six yrs ago and rumor at that time was they were going to upgrade to 'another' system. Could someone advise as to what system the RCMP currently use in the
Edmonton and Calgary districts? Agn tnx
I was in Ft. Mac around the end of Feb. this year and they were still dispatching on 155.x. Fire/EMS was using 461.x, as I recall. I don't have the frequencies available to me where I am at this moment but I can send them to you if you still require them.
