Did TRAA / AMR finally change over to 800 mgz does anyone know?? They cant be heard on the regular channel that is listed.

Indeed they did transfer to the Allen County system about 8 weeks ago. I have submitted the talkgroups already and they have been posted, and they are available for your viewing pleasure in the RR Database.

They are analog and not digital correct?

Nope, all are digital. In fact, the only talkgroups I am aware of that are analog are 4 digit ones and they are used by Allen County Sheriff Dept for the jail, work release, and home detention. Everything else on that system is digital.

Allen County 800Mhz Digital

I live in allen county just outside of fort wayne. The allen county sheriff, TRAA (aka AMR), fort wayne fire, and fort wayne police are all 800Mhz digital. And the allen county fire departments are working on going to the 800 system but that will be alwhile longer.

Chaser, Thanks for the audio link! I have posted it to the Allen County TRS Page. Sounds like they need a better antenna though! Lots of break up in the digital..
