Yaesu: FT2D battery issues

My FT2D had been working properly but now on battery LCD is dim and won't transmit. It only works properly when connected to DC charger. I have tried 3 batteries no difference. Batteries work properly on another FT2D.

If that is the same radio that you recently updated the firmware (previous post), I think I'd revert to an older firmware to see if that might fix it.

and the firmware update failures may be due to a failing battery. I'd call Yaesu and take advantage of the 3 year parts/labor warranty, they are reported to be very responsive.

Thanks for your posts. It is a different radio - DE vs DR. Once I updated with the DE firmware everything works.
