Yaesu: FT3D GPS lat long does not update

The good.
When I turn on the unit, the GPS screen shows it acquiring satellites. After several seconds, the Time and MPH update. Then the Lat and Lon data update.
The LatLon numbers keep refining as the satellite data does its thing. Then, they settle in on my position very accurately when compared to my Garmin devices.

The bad.
If I walk around or go for a ride, my location data does not update. It stays on the original location acquisition coordinates.
I am hoping I have a setting wrong somewhere. But I cannot find it. Help would be appreciated.

I may have somewhat solved this. I tried several more times from bootup to test. I then realized it was showing the exact same coordinates each time when I would begin my walking/driving test. I believe it was showing target coordinates rather than my own. I did not have the * L1 or L2 highlighted.
So I wiped the memory and reloaded a backup from an SD card. GPS is now working as I would expect, and the + L1 and L2 each update and track correctly. I wish I knew which option I had inadvertently highlighted in case it happens again.
