Fugitive Search in Denver

Escapee from the US Marshalls office has been ongoing downtown since 1500hrs and all traffic is patched to Den-800 id 04-121 using Dists 1, 2 and 6 officers, DPD Air 1 and Sky 9.

It's also feeding on Teamspeak Denver server and my Live.365.com Denver feed.

Lots of radio traffic and now problems with folks arriving for the Rockies / Cubs game and needing to go inside the perimeter.

I got off work at 1800, and left downtown via westbound 15th. Ran smack dab into the middle of the search. I heard a little at work, but thought it was all over. My Pro 94 does not work for crap at 15th & Court Pl.

Perimeter still set up but now almost 4 hrs later fugitive 14 is advising that he's probably long gone.

Someone completely different this was a federal prisoner being held at the Washington County jail in Akron.

Suspect caught this morning (Thursday) after another multi-agency pursuit with excellent radio traffic.

It was pretty good listening too started at I-70 and Federal went East to I-270 then 270 back towards I-25 North into Thornton back south and then onto I-76 then off at Wadsworth going SB in the NB lanes and back into Denver where a US Marshalls SUV hit the suspect vehicle head on. Speeds were close to 100mph most of the time and traffic was patched on Denver-800 and DTRS.

Started in Dist 1 so 04-021 was primary and then was patched to Mac-1 and 00-002 on the Den-800.

KMGH is the only one that got good video of the ending, if your interested.
