Heya,
I am interested in doing digital modes enabled by SDR on the upper bands (144 MHz - 5 GHz).
Does anyone know of a full SDR transceiver capable of doing this (I'm not talking about HackRF and the like, since those lack band filters and get wiped out by out-of-band signal).
I've been running a digital mode similar to WSPR on the 70cm band and I managed quite good signals at ranges up to 200 km with a vertical antenna.
Also this little guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93nWWASt5a4 would benefit from it.

73 and good luck!

Icom showed the "concept" of the IC-9700 at the Tokyo Ham Fair a few weeks ago. It's an SDR-with-knobs that will cover 2m and 70cm with an option for 23cm. Not many firm details are known at this time and the release date is probably over a year away.
