why?, try to capture some distant signals a little better.
Full wave antennas have some deep notches in the pattern. If it is a vertical, a half wave dipole will outperform it by a bunch.

If you have the space, a yagi will generally work better.

I would try a j-pole.

Quarter wave in feet = 234/freq. in mhz
Half wave in feet = 468/freq. mhz
Full wave in feet = 936/freq. mhz

But if you gotta have someone write software to do that for 'ya, I'm sure someone has.
