BCD325P2/BCD996P2: Function Knob Unresponsive

The function knob on the BCD996P2 is completely unresponsive. I can push it and use it as a function button (to turn on quick keys), however when I try to go through menus, switch between frequencies while on “hold” mode, etc, it doesn’t respond to the turn dial.

Since making this post about 15 minutes ago, it’s started working again after trying everything. No idea why it started working again. It may be because the scanner was too cold?

If it happens again, follow the cable that goes from the controller circuit board to the main board and lift and re-seat that connector. For some reason Unidens scanners sometimes need their connectors excersised to make good contact again.
