Heard a OKC officer going on traffic say he had a white Sh**y pickup up instead of Chevy. All the other officers kept asking him what kind of pickup it was.

dispatch: Engine 24, Engine 19, Car fire 75 North bound between 36th and 46th Street North....

Engine 24 to Main, on scene with a late 90's Honda depreciating rapidly. We can handle. 19's return to service. Setting up Hiway 75 command.

dispatch: Copy hiway 75 command, Engine 19 return to service. Say again your situation?

(I saw the car later - fuel line broke and sprayed the manifold - it was a rust bucket with melted tires and no interior by the time they got it out).

" Your subject is the unlucky holder of a Flagged operators license, suspended and license in file" Just some of the many offbeat responses by Tulsa nighttime dispatcher that you really have to hear to appreciate, mere type doesn't even come close.

We had an former deputy call in on our VHF side and request a 10-28 on OKlahoma personalized David-Ida-Charles-King-Henry-Edward-Adam-David..... he sounded awefully drunk

got some mike clicks out of that.

We also have one deputy on Hoot shift that keys up and plays music off his Car FM over the VHF side. One night it was slow and he was doing his little trick when a car flew by him over 100mph. he turned around on it, it wouldn't pull over so he keyed back up to call pursuit. when he did he still had the radio turned up really loud, and i t gave away who our late night "DJ" is!

Another deputy got back into his unit at Come N Go and sat down on his mike.... we were listening to see if anything funny would happen then he yelled "Put that F***ing finger back up so I can shoot it off!" Aparrently some kid riding by gave him the califorina howdy!

I love working night shift dispatch!

I heard an OKC dispatcher tell two OKC cars the other night that they were 10-50 (crashed out). One asked the other, "Did she just say we were 10-50?" The other replied, "I guess so..."

Maybe she forgot where she was at. In 90+% of the state, 10-50 means "no traffic for you". Except for Tulsa (don't know this for sure) and OKC, most of the state uses pretty much the same 10 codes that the OHP uses.

Question, why are we duplicating a topic that already exists in the RR Tavern?

I guess to talk about stuff we've heard around this area, but I think this should be moved to the tavern.

The funniest thing I've ever heard was when one of our guys @ Glenpool ran the drivers license number of a guy from the south named (get this) Delicious Peters..... it was so hilarious listening to her try and get the name out without laughing.

That is great!!! I have also heard rumours of certain Oklahoma SCOM DPS setup DL numbers that have funny names on them. one OHP dispatcher was teling me about one "I. P. Freely".

Yeah I think ti should too, I have been recording the TAC-2 ID 31152 to see what they are doing to track down the rapist. There was quite a discussion the other night about how there radios where losing the towers in certain areas, butthat the new" Blue uniforms were cool" and a much better way to spend money than fixing the radios!
