They are buying radios as you laugh from Kenwood. CalTran has been using the 700 for a long time and developed coverage studies for California. In our county alone Caltran has added additional 700 site give +98% coverage. The plan was setup to be completed in about a 15 year plan which includes money for the infrastructure. They are on the last 1/3 of it now.

We'll see, I guess. But to reiterate, this study is 10 years old. And as an aside, when did the term "unified" ever become an actual working term of any agency of the state of california?? Cannot wait for a viable explanation on how the "bean counters" a politicians are going to release the money needed when they can spend the same dollars for projects that will make them look good when it goes towards "green credit", etc. Bean counters & politicians don't get it.
