From Butel - SDS firmware update info:

A new firmware for the Uniden SDS100/SDS200 scanners is being beta tested and we got information at the Avera event from Uniden that this firmware will also include a nice waterfall option! Stay tuned for more information about this major firmware update.

Does this mean the filters must be off?
You would want to see the spectrum after the filter to see what it does and could also help you select the proper one. The off setting of the filter just means it is centered in the middle of the frequency and all other settings have it skewed to either side. The spectrum data out the USB port are after any filters so probably that same data, but not needing CPU resources to convert it to serial USB data, are used to present it on the scanners own display. Perhaps this spectrum mode will allow instant change of the filter type to quickly see its effect.

The waterfall option is great Joe. This is by far the best solution to Close Call and the units ability to locate DMR /P25 Phase 2 and other TDMA type signals.

It would be nice if the new FW included the 1090MHZ range for ADSB. My other High priority wish is to have a selectabe encrypted mute/unmute option. With so many systems using encryption being able to unmute on encrypted TGs will make it easier to verify activity on the system and TG.

NOTE: For those reading the post this does not mean decrypting encrypted signals. It just means that the speaker can be selected to be muted (current configuration) or not muted when the signal is detected as being encrypted.

Sorry, perhaps I missed a click or two. Is the waterfull display being developed for the paid Butel software, or for the included Uniden Sentinel software, or both?
