As useful as " it was working yesterday!", Or "who would do something like that?".I read it as a way of saying, "When it's ready, we'll release it, but not sooner"

To be fair, most users of any software chomp at the bit to get something released on their terms. As useful as " it was working yesterday!", Or "who would do something like that?".
The OP let the proverbial "cat out of the bag", and here we are. Like other " Uniden leaks" over the years, I'm pretty sure it wasn't supposed to be mentioned. This is just me (YMMV), but I personally prefer NOTHING is ever said until a program is released. Having experienced "vaporware" on multiple occasions over the decades, I'm no longer interested in playing that game. The longer a company plays the "baiting game", the less respect I have for them. I'm also far less likely to ever buy anything from a company that engages in that activity as well.
Wow! That is awesome. Thank you so much. The waterfall pics or vids are a demo/test/proof of concept of what a future waterfall display for the SDS100/200 would resemble. It's not a real-time waterfall. It's been in both of those those scanners for a long time.
To see it on your scanner, connect to ProScan in serial mode so that the virtual display is running, go to ProScan's "Test and Extras" tab, enter SDR (all caps) in the protocol command box on the far right of that window and hit Enter. It won't show in the virtual display, but it will be on your scanner's screen.
To return to scanning, power cycle the scanner.
I agree! Half of my counties P25 Voice Trunked Frequencies are right next to a ~760MHz cellular band and its overwhelmingly strong.A variable attenuator setting for each frequency or trunked system would be nice. A variable attenuator setting for the waterfall 'Mode' would enhance its operation by allowing the user to filter out weaker or just low level noise from the display.
I attenuate by site in a trunked system, and can be isolated to each specific site, but requires a favorite list to be created.I agree! Half of my counties P25 Voice Trunked Frequencies are right next to a ~760MHz cellular band and its overwhelmingly strong.
Well, split them up in 2 favorite lists and scan them both. Easy peasy…..Question is uniden working on updating the file size? The other day I was adding some sites and conv and went over the 1mb. Than it won't scan at all in the Favorite List.
Little late to the party with this comment, but to be fair, it's a completely different world now.. back in the mid to late 00's when it was released, DIN slots were common in a lot of vehicles. Not the case anymore.Yep.... It's highly doubtful Uniden would venture into the remote head market again after the underwhelming sales and lack of demand for the RH96.

Scrolling text on the display would be great for seeing longer entries. It's going to look a WHOLE lot better than that!
No, no ETA at this time. It's not in beta yet but should be nearly any time now.
Arguably there was more space under the dash to install radios. Now, it requires modifying the center console to install any size radio. I had to do a lot of work to get the SDS200 to fit in the console of my 2019 Tacoma.
That wouldn't be the correct approach. RadioReference invented them, called Service Tags. If RadioReference added or changed categories then all software would break that imports from the RRDBWaterfall? I'd be happy with seeing the public works and business service types getting a facelift.
It sounds like wrong Service Types are assigned to conventional frequencies or talkgroups. To fix it, you can edit your Favorites Lists or submit the corrections.I cringe every time I want to hear snowplow TG's and end up, instead, hearing maintenance men, park rangers, waste management, cleaning crews, and golf courses (of all things).

Before any corrections are submitted, let's be clear about the service tags. Any government run non-public safety operation normally falls under Public Works. This includes municipal snowplows, may include park rangers if they are not performing law enforcement duties, and yes may include maintenance crews for public/municipal golf courses (rather than the Business tag, which would only apply to private entities)That wouldn't be the correct approach.
