Ok,

I'm gonna stick my neck out and ask a simple question, because I don't remember or know at the present time......

In the F.C.C. database, there are several 'designators' as to the "class" of unit. I know what most of them are, but I'm confused as to the Fx1 designation. Most are low-powered and usually associated with mobile units on the same frequency. Some are not at the "base" or "repeater", so I'm wondering what they do. IF they are used in point-2-point work how would they not "interfere" with a mobile's transmission? If they receive the mobile's transmission and re-transmit it on that same frequency, wouldn't it go into a continuous loop of receive/transmit ?

Thanks in Advance,
Respectfully submitted,

FX1 would be a Control Station, could be a Base Station, typically for Control of a Repeater.
