FYI, BC250D Discontinued

I just recieved an e-mail from scanner master advising me of a sale on the 250. It also stated that Uniden discontinued the 250. I just thought I'd share the info with one and all.

Kinda figures.. they will most likely discontinue the BC785D too as niether of them are needed with the BC796D and BC296D cover everthing they did PLUS 9.6kbps Motorola Digital TRS. Considering that with the 296/796 D's there is no extra card to buy to hear digital,.. and that they made thier big money with the scanner-seperate card, and beat RS to the punch,... they no longer need iether.

Actually, they beat them to HALF the punch. The PRO-96 was the first true P-25 scaner - supporting P25 (9600) control channels.

LOL true that,.. but in the business game its sales that count,.. and they hit the shelves first,.. and were on the way vias e-sales first.. thus cash in the bank first.... and considering that the mass of us scanner users don't live near 9.6kbps systems,..... plus we hopped out to grab the first digital scanner to hit the market.. and speant the extra dough for the cards.... they had a heck of a sidekick to the ribs with that.. then RS did a outside crescent to the head with the 96 being able to do both digital formats for trunking and NO ADDITIONAL CARDS,... but that spinning backfist from Uniden with the base/mobiles as well as portables, and they still do LTR.. is a staggering whack eh? Maybe when and if the 2096 comes out,... it will have abilities that the Unidens don't and the title bout can continue????
