I'm programming a new Unication G2 and having an issue trying to figure out how to program my custom alert tones to loop after activating.
I have a G5 and G2 I purchased about three years ago and programmed in PPS v3.16. I have custom alert sounds for the tones programmed -- I have text-to-speech recording files saying whose tone it is. For example, for one company I have a recording of "Station 2" being said one time, but when the pager activates it will loop the recording 3-4 times after the second tone hits, so the alert from the pager will sound as "station 2, station 2, station 2, station 2."
I just got a new G2 and I am trying to get it to loop the alert tone recording like my other two pagers, but I can't figure out how to do this. I've tried the alert settings "by tone" and with a fixed time duration but the pager will not loop the alert sound files, it just plays it once. This new pager is programmed in the current PPS version 4.00.39.
I attempted to program in the older version of PPS I used for the other pagers but this new G2's model number isn't an option in the drop-down list.
I searched on here and couldn't find anything on this. I did find one post suggesting the looped alert tone may be a glitch in a certain firmware, but aside from that I can't find any information on trying to get this to work.
Any help would be appreciated.
